Archaeology

In preparation for a symposion, which is planned since July 2004, we have discussed questions regarding biological and cultural evolution of pleistocen man in an interdisciplinary disposition under
partnership of archaeology, biology and anthropology. Main points were three different questions:
In which manner do evolution of the brain and development of cultural expression correlate?
Which anthropological conditions are required for culture? Which cultural expressions
can be identified through the sources of archaeology?

The development of religious utterances in the Alps is topic of scientific conversation in a round
of archaeologists, comparative theologians, biologists and animal medics from Italy, Austria
and Munich in summer term 2005.
